Cheyda most recently served as an intern at Shanti Orange County, where she supported a clientele of people living with HIV/AIDs and created community outreach materials promoting sexual well-being. She was also a Discussion Leader Coordinator for UC Irvine’s Undecided/Undeclared Advising Program, where she mentored first-generation students and taught topics like public speaking, lesson planning, and conflict resolution. In this role, she planned and facilitated weekly training seminars for over 50 undergraduate students. Cheyda is a recent graduate of UC Irvine, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health Policy and completed minors in Film & Media Studies and Gender & Sexuality Studies.
